Jesus Shaped People

What is it?

Jesus Shaped People (JSP)
is a teaching series which examines 5 areas of Jesus’ life and ministry, and encourages us to become more like Jesus, as individuals and as a community.

We  followed the JSP programme through the autumn and winter, between September 2015 and early March 2016. Each of the 5 areas were explored over 3 weekly themed sessions.  This course was a way of integrating many of our strands of living out our faith.

Weekly there were planned  sermons at 8:00 am, 9:30 am, 10:45 am and 6:00 pm Sunday services, 11:00 am on Wednesdays and 8:00 am on Fridays, all of which  included integrated readings and intercessions relating to the theme for that week. So we were all introduced to the teaching and discussions for our home groups, which  met in the week. All members of our congregation were encouraged to join a home group, each of which had a facilitator to guide discussion.

The series was launched on 13 September 2015 at each service. We are fortunate that Canon Gordon Dey who pioneered this course in his home parish in Bradford was with us to set us on our way. You can  listen to  each weeks talk by clicking on the archive  link below:
