All-age Worship

9:30 am Morning Worship for all ages

The 9.30 am service at St. Mary’s is friendly and informal. The services are planned around a theme and are less traditional than the 10.45 am Parish Communion service. They are child-friendly, often starting with an activity that the younger members of the congregation can get involved with, and the younger children are encouraged to choose a musical instrument to accompany the singing. There are also a range of Sunday clubs that take place part way through the service, with provision for pre-school babies and children through to young people in Year 9.

Although many families attend this service, it is open to all and once the children and young people have left to attend their groups, there is a talk and a time of prayer and worship. The music tends to be a mixture of hymns and contemporary worship songs and is led by a group of instrumentalists and singers.

The service lasts about 45 minutes to an hour, and there are always refreshments afterwards in the parish hall. This is a great opportunity to meet new people and to catch up with old friends.

We hope that you will consider coming along to one of our 9.30 services to see for yourself if it is the right one for you. There will always be someone at the door to greet you, so please feel free to ask them any questions you may have. We look forward to welcoming you soon!
