Holy Week & Easter 2021

On Easter Day there will be a Dawn Service of Holy Communion, open for the public to attend, at 6am in the well. The Easter Candle will be lit from the bonfire, and we will remain outside in the well. Following the change in government guidance yesterday, outside congregations may now sing! Please contact the office (office@stmarysnantwich.org.uk) if you wish to attend. There will also be 9.30am and 10.45am services online on Easter Day, and Encounter on Zoom at 7pm.

On Palm Sunday, there will be All Age Worship at 9.30am, Holy Communion at 10.45am, and Compline at 7.30pm (online). Another guidance change yesterday means a quartet will be able to sing live in church, not just one singer. The clocks go forwards an hour tonight.

Note that there will be a service of Compline, with a reflection, online every evening at 7.30pm from Palm Sunday to Holy Saturday inclusive. You can download the order of service to follow at home.

On Maundy Thursday, 1 April, there will be a Chrism Service at 11am in Chester Cathedral, which you may watch here, and follow the order of service. Vanessa Layfield will be taking part in the service, and Paul Wheeler will be present, representing Nantwich Deanery.

Good Friday:
11am Churches Together in Nantwich Service on the Elim YouTube channel, followed by coffee on Zoom (link, meeting ID: 829 2014 6187; passcode: 950024).
2pm St Mary’s Service (online, live in church; music from the quartet, Passion reading and prayers)

All St Mary’s online services will appear on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
